Amy is experienced in Agile/Lean coaching, software and process training, and other forms of management consulting and training in the software industry. She has consulted in the software development field since 1999 and has been using and championing Agile/Lean practices on projects since 2006. Amy has received a variety of formal training in consulting and project management methodologies including Microsoft Consulting training at Avanade/Accenture, and certification and training in Agile/Scrum with Ken Schwaber. She has found Agile/Lean approaches most effective in ramping teams up in organizations of all sizes and helping to improve communication and product delivery in larger organizations looking for improvement. Amy has a diverse background covering many areas of software product development and in many capacities (including development, QA, software training, development of training curriculums, product and project management). Her responsibilities have ranged from booting up start-up companies such as Clearstory Systems, AgencyPort, IMN, and the Vantage Group to facilitating change in large organizations such as Macromedia, Honeywell, Harvard University, Accenture and MySpace. Amy is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certfied Scrum Practitioner (CSP), and an active member of Scrum Alliance pursuing her Scrum Trainer Certification (CST). She has a BA in Philosophy and Political Science from Boston University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a variety of honors and awards including Dean’s List - (all four years), The Matchette Prize for Excellence in Philosophy (1998), The Colin Kerr Award (1996) for holding the #1 GPA and rank in class at College of General Studies, and recognition by the Golden Key National Honor Society (1996) for being in the top 10% of Boston University students.
